Not cheap, but perfection is priceless. Not an unhappy face in the place. Meats upon meats. A smokers happy place. Nothing disappointed. Ribs, wings, turkey, brisket and pulled pork. Did I mention the potato salad and coleslaw??? Eat here, you'll thank me later...

It was my first time trying Green Street and I was pleasantly surprised with how good their BBQ meats are! Their sauces are also good for the meats. I liked the cornbread with their honey butter too. The service was quick and they were nice! It's somewhat a self serve kind of place where you order and pick up your food. We went relatively early for dinner around 4pm on Sunday and had no issues finding tables. The ambiance is that of a bar kind of place.

This is the best bbq I've ever had! The brisket, pulled pork, and pastrami are incredible! The sides are delicious, my personal favorites are the baked beans and cornbread. The cornbread is a large slice of ground corn heaven baked by the gods of bbq! In Chicago, you can't miss this place. The bar is fully stocked with great booze and the service is great. It's a "seat yourself" kind of place; perfect for bbq. I will be back again and again!

Looking for some solid bbq in Chicago?! I suggest you give Green St Smoked Meats a try. Located in the West Loop, it's in a great location. My girlfriend and I came on the 4th of July and the line was long but it moved fairly quickly. We ordered the ribs and smoked turkey along with the chopped brisket sandwich. We rated the sandwich our favorite, then the ribs came in at a close second place, then the turkey, we wished the turkey was a little more juicy but it was good paired with the sauce. They put a lot of love into all of their food and we appreciated the delicious meal.

Really fun vibe inside with fantastic food! I strongly recommend. Helpful staff who seem to enjoy the food they serve. There can be a bit of a wait depending on when you go, but I don't think that's a big deal and there's lots of seating, at least when the summer weather is good (when we went). Brisket sandwich is delicious. Corn bread with the honey butter is absolutely stellar, so if you like corn bread definitely get this. The potato salad has nice big chunks of red potato balanced well with the creaminess/dressing. It seemed less heavy feeling than some other potato salads because the potato to dressing ratio seems higher. The cheese jalapeño link is great and was recommended over the regular hot link by the staff (if you feel like you need to choose and can't fit both into your stomach). The elote style corn are wonderful. The baked beans are solid, though I tend to find most baked beans to be good--if you're looking to keep your order size down, this is something I think you could skip. Banana pudding sounded just OK second-hand: it's like vanilla pudding with chunks of banana, so nothing outstanding there.

Went here on a weekday night at around 8pm. There was a bit of a queue but it was still pretty fast. It was a nice night so we sat outside. A lot of things on the menu were already sold out. We ended up getting chopped brisket, pulled pork, and hot link. They are all good! I would just pick either the chopped brisket or the pulled pork as the texture and taste were quite similar. I really like the hot link! For sides, we got the corn bread and elote style corn. Both of them are amazing, especially the corn. Will definitely come back and try other things at an earlier hour next time!

I'm just here for vacation...but I've had great BBQ in other cities...and this is GREAT BBQ. If u see a long line, dont let that stop you...just wait it out!! Food was 10/10- the brisket was my fav. Use 2 fingers to pick it up, it's falling apart!! I got the elote corn as a side. 8.5/10- thick and flavorful. Do not leave without the cornbread. Some of the best and it comes with a side of honey butter. 10/10. Ambiance...it gives BBQ vibes, with picnic style tables and paper towel rolls. Seats fill up quickly, so have someone hold a seat while another stands in line!!

Some of the best smoked brisket around!! Smoked for 12-16 hours and just falls apart. 2-3 meats shared is enough for 2-3 people. The pastrami and turkey is phenomenal as well. Jump to the bar and get a craft brew that pairs well. Indoor and outdoor seating with tvs and a wall projector playing sports.

Love this place so much! Came here around 8 on a Friday, the line was a little over an hour but it's nice how you can wait with a drink from the bar. The ribs and brisket are amazing, sooo tender. The macaroni salad is my favorite here! It may be my favorite thing on the menu. The honey butter cornbread is also amazing. I love the sauce bar, the gold ended up being my favorite. Will be coming here again and again.

As a man from the South, this is by far the best bbq I've had during my travels. All of the meat was fall off the bone tender and seasoned to perfection. My favorite dish was the beef rib, which paired perfectly with their gold bbq sauce. The brisket was also tender but not as strong of a flavor in comparison to the rib. The cole slaw was vinegar based, which was a pleasant contrast to the meats. The beef brisket chili was also very good. It had a nice peppery taste to match the rub on the meats. Each of their sauces were pleasant and offered their own signature tastes. I would 100% recommend this establishment, but expect to wait in line as this place is very popular for a reason.
